A CALL FOR URGENT CHURCH PLANTING
God didn’t merely say, “Go preach and lead people to Christ.” He also made it clear that we must not stop at proclamation—we must teach. And teaching cannot happen effectively on the road, in a one-time meeting, or even in a temporary viewing centre. Real teaching requires a consistent environment: a place where people gather regularly, grow spiritually, and are discipled over time.
That is why Church planting is not optional.
We need learning centres – yes – but learning centres rooted in the local Church. The harvest must be gathered, and the harvest must be taught. And this can’t happen instantly. It requires structure, time, leadership, and a spiritual home where discipleship becomes normal rather than occasional.
So if we are truly serious about the work God has sent us to do, then we must complement evangelism with the planting of churches. Without Churches, people may receive a message, but they won’t always receive long-term instruction and formation. Without churches, converts can struggle to stabilise in faith, and growth becomes difficult. But when churches are planted, teaching becomes possible in a sustained and effective way.
Church planting is a necessity, not a luxury
Church planting is not something we do when we feel like doing it. It is our duty. It belongs to our routine responsibilities as believers. The Bible speaks through the prophets about a time when the mountain of the Lord’s house will be exalted above all mountains, and people from all nations will flow into it. While we can understand some of those passages as pointing toward the end-times and even the millennium, we must also learn this: God does not only prepare for what is coming—He provides understanding and opportunity for "now". He shows us patterns so we can live them and practise them today.
That means Churches should not be scarce. They should be everywhere.
In fact, communities are incomplete without the church. The Church is not accidental or secondary to God’s purpose—it is central. Scripture describes the Church as the “pillar and ground of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15). Because of this, Church numbers should not be stagnant. Where communities expand—new houses, new bridges, new schools, and new businesses—there should also be expanding spiritual coverage. Where people move and grow, churches must grow and multiply.
Churches should be planted faster than other human institutions, because the need is greater. A community without a Church is not spiritually healthy; it experiences darkness. And God’s plan is that light should increase.
Only the church can build the Church
Nobody else is going to do it for us.
Jesus said, “I will build My church.” He didn’t say the world would build it. He didn’t say the government would build it. He didn’t say institutions would build it. He said, “I will build My church”—and we are part of that "I".
Jesus is in heaven, but we are here. We represent Him in this world. As He works, we work.
So, get on board today. Sign up to plant a new Church and extend the frontiers of our Kingdom everywhere!
